Terms of service
Last updated: October 18, 2026
These terms apply to your use of Nautilance, the website at www.nautilance.com and the app at app.nautilance.com. Nautilance is provided by Nautilance (“Nautilance”, “we”, “us”). By signing up or using Nautilance, you agree to these terms.
1. What Nautilance is
Nautilance is staffing, scheduling and team software for the yachting industry, sold as subscriptions. It lets yacht crew, owners, management companies and crew agencies share availability, keep their vessels, make bookings, manage teams, post and apply for jobs, and communicate.
Nautilance is not a recruitment agency, a manning agency, an employer or a party to any work arrangement between users. Agreements about work, pay and conditions, including any seafarer employment agreement, are between the users who make them. No payments between users pass through Nautilance.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older to use Nautilance. You choose an account type when you sign up (individual, owner or management company, or crew agency); it can’t be changed later.
Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You’re responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email, and any password you set, secure, since codes sent to your email always let you log in.
People acting for a business do so under their own name, and what they do in the business’s role counts as the business’s.
3. Plans, trials and payments
Every account type has a Free plan. Paid plans (Pro and Max) are billed monthly or yearly, in US dollars, as shown on the pricing page. Prices for individuals include any VAT; prices for crew agencies, owners and management companies are plus VAT where it applies.
During our launch, nothing is charged. When payments start, they are processed by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, VAT and invoices.
During our launch every plan is free and has no end date, and we’ll give at least 3 months’ notice by email before the launch ends. Free trials after the launch end on the date shown in the app; when one ends, your account moves to Free unless you choose a paid plan. During our launch, Max is for verified accounts.
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your plan then runs to the end of the period already paid. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Unlimited features are subject to fair use. Limits and features may change; we’ll tell you before a change that affects a plan you’ve paid for.
4. Verification
Owners, management companies and crew agencies on Pro and Max go through verification checks before they can see crew identities or contact them. A failed check doesn’t entitle a business to a refund, but it can correct its details and try again, or ask our team to review.
Crew are verified by the businesses they worked for. A business giving a reference confirms that it is accurate.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use Nautilance to break the law, harass or deceive people, send spam, collect other users’ data, get round verification or plan limits, impersonate anyone, or post content you don’t have the right to share.
Ratings and references must be honest and based on real work together.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we review reports of abuse; reported content can be taken offline while we review it.
6. Your content
You keep the rights to what you post (profile details, vessel details, photos, messages and documents). You give us the permission we need to store it, show it to the people you choose and run Nautilance.
Nothing is deleted when a plan ends; see the pricing page for what happens to images over a plan’s limits.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep Nautilance available and secure, but it is provided as it is, and we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.
We are not responsible for the conduct of users, or for agreements, work or payments between them. Businesses remain responsible for checking crew certificates, medical fitness and right to work, and for manning their vessels safely, and crew for their own decisions about work.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
