Cookie notice

Last updated: October 18, 2026

In short: this website and the app set Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them; otherwise the app uses only essential cookies.

This website

www.nautilance.com sets no cookies of its own. In your browser’s local storage it keeps only the light or dark mode you choose with the theme button, if you choose one, and your answer about analytics cookies; neither is sent to us.

Until you choose, light or dark mode follows your device setting. The language follows the address, or your browser’s language on your first visit, and isn’t stored.

Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies. Only if you accept, Google Analytics also sets its cookies (_ga and _ga_…, kept for up to two years) to tell visits apart; nothing is loaded from Google before that. You can change your answer at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; declining removes these cookies.

The app

The app at app.nautilance.com uses essential cookies and local storage: to keep you logged in, remember your settings (language, theme, time zone, dismissed notices, how you prefer to log in), identify your browser with a random device ID, note where you first came from before signing up, and remember a friend’s referral code from their link.

Because these are essential, they don’t need your consent. Only if you accept in the app’s cookie notice, Google Analytics also sets its cookies (_ga, kept for up to two years) to show us how the app is used, with its advertising features off and ids and private link codes removed from the pages it sees. You can change your answer at any time in Settings › General, or with the Cookies link at the bottom of the app’s public pages. The app uses no advertising cookies.
